Ayade repairs 6 federal roads

Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has directed that six federal roads in parts of the state which are in bad state should be rehabilitated.
He said he had to give the directive because he hated the ordeal Nigerians were passing through on those roads.
The federal roads include the Calabar - Ikom and Calabar - Itu federal highways where intervention jobs are on. A Director in the state Ministry of Works, Engr. Godwin Akeke, said although the state was being owed over N20 billion spent on similar interventions on federal roads by past administrations, the state could not be deterred from doing the needful. He however appealed to the Federal Government not only to pay the debt but to fix all its bad roads.
