A new Secretary to the State Government (SSG) has been appointed by the Niger State Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello.
According to a statement by the commissioner of information Jonathan T Vatsa, Alhaji Ibrahim Isa Ladan replaced Alhaji Shehu Danyaya who was said to have been relieved of his post on Monday.
The new SSG, according to Vatsa, has since been inaugurated and performing official functions.
No reason was given for the replacement of Danyaya who came from the Kontagora axis with the governor.
The new SSG is from Borgu Local Government and a turban councilor of the Borgu emirate council.
He is a former Senatorial aspirant for Niger North Senatorial district under the All Progressives Congress (APC) and a former Commissioner representing Niger State in the Federal Character Commission.
He served on the Transition Committee set up by Alhaji Abubakar Sani Bello to prepare ground for his administration’s inauguration in 2015.
Until his appointment, the new Secretary to Niger State Government was the Secretary to the Committee on Redistribution of Appointments to Board and Parastatals.
