A total of 750 women from Tangaza, Tambuwal and Tureta local government areas of Sokoto state have undergone skill acquisition programmes towards self-reliance and economic empowerment.
Also, 500 youths from across the state are undergoing another skill acquisition programme organized by the state government in collaboration with federal government.
The state Commissioner for Youth and Sports development, Alhaji Ausa who disclosed this in Sokoto said 250 women were selected from each of the three local government areas.
He expressed commitment of the present administration, towards ensuring members of the society are engaged in productive ventures.
